Re: 3½ Litre Bentley - Steering Column - Horn Button. We are now able to specify the travel of the horn button on the steering column as .040. This travel will be obtained by the range of adjusting washers FB.532/3/4. It has also been decided that the top of the horn button shall stand .150 above the surrounding rib of the control quadrant. This dimension should be given +10 -10 limits, and it will be necessary to modify our limits in accordance with the attached print. It will also be necessary to increase the depth of the button FB.83 from .312 to .325 for future parts. Built up steering columns can be dealt with by fitting a washer between the lower face of the knob and the shoulder on the switch push rod. Will you please alter your detail drawings and add suitable notes to your Arrangement Drawing FB.239 as soon as possible. | ||
