I have made enquiries re the screwing out of the studs holding the manifold. There are very few cases where the studs have screwed out.

There are a number that have broken off close to the cylinder, and are very difficult to get out. These are the ones that shew a water leak after breaking.

There are cases of water leaks from the core plugs, chiefly at the rear end of the cylinder.
