W. A.{Mr Adams} Robotham, Esq.,
Messrs. Rolls-Royce Limited,
DERBY.

Dear Mr. Robotham,

Lord Rothes has asked me to write to you and send you particulars of the 6.00/18 and 6.00/19 covers.

The dimensions and weights of these two covers are shown on the attached table.

For your further information we have also included 5.50/19, 6.00/20 and 5.50/18 Speed Special.

You will see that if 6.00/19 is fitted the car will be raised 8/10's of an inch.

I think the figure Lord Rothes gave you was .89" the difference could probably be accounted for by the fact that the tyres were measured at slightly different loads and inflation pressures.

The reason that the outside diameter is 1.8" larger than the 5.50/18 is, of course, due to the fact that the rim diameter is 1" larger and the section height of the 6.00 approximately .36" greater.

I have also sent a copy of this letter to Lord Rothes at London and as I believe that he will be calling on you on Friday, he can explain our recommendations to you more fully.
