10,000 miles Bentley.

With reference to your request for information as to what will be fitted to the next Bentley chassis, B-5. Briefly, the specification of parts to be fitted which have not previously done 10,000 miles is as follows:-

CHASSIS.
(1) Peregrine steering.
(2) Peregrine Gearbox.
(3) Direct braking to all four wheels, with steel brake shoes.
(4) Front springs shackled at the rear.
(5) Magnesium dashboard.
(6) Brake drums with longer fins and water excluding covers.
(7) Front cross member between the lamps to prevent movement, N.Sch.4124.
(8) Complete rubber engine mounting; front experimental, rear to Lec.3895/3883.
(9) Outside petrol tank filler, to W.Sch.3929.

With regard to the Engine, this will have :-
(1) Aluminium cylinder head.
(2) Halford type silent tappets.
(3) Narrow pin crankshaft.
(4) Connecting rods with lead bronze bearings.
(5) Ground and lapped textolite timing gears.
