EXPERIMENTAL DEPARTMENT.

RM {William Robotham - Chief Engineer} /CTS. {C. Trot Salt - Carburation} 11/JH. 30th September, 1938.

The Zenith Carburetter Co.Ltd.,
Honeypot Lane,
Stanmore,
MIDDLESEX.

For the attention of Mr. Turner.

Dear Sirs,

In reply to your letter of Sept. 22nd. and with refer-ence to the four carburetters mentioned therein, these samples are being returned to you right away.

Regarding the carburetter sample DA. {Bernard Day - Chassis Design} 36 No.2813. We would like you to return this with all working parts removed, so that just the body is left.

Also we would like a body of the DC.42 carb. at present being supplied for our normal production. Both will be complete with float chamber lid {A. J. Lidsey} and throttle body. These are required, for comparing durability of finish on an accelerated wear test to be carried out in the Laboratory.

It is still understood of course, that these sample carburetters represent what you can do re finish and price, and the carb. No.2813 is the one we are interested in.

It is worth explaining at this juncture, that the reason for the lapse of time between receiving these samples from you in March and the present correspondence, is due to the fact that it is necessary to use up the agreed quantity (to present spec-ification) under agreement.

We have therefore waited until the end of this quantity, was in sight, before submitting our new specification which will be forwarded to you in a few weeks.

Cont'd. {John DeLooze - Company Secretary}
