X8420 Mx. {John H Maddocks - Chief Proving Officer} - from Wor. {Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} WD. {Mr Wood / Mr Whitehead} " " Hs. {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} " " RY. " " Wor {Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} 21/M13/10/25. Commander Briggs was complaining yesterday that on both our model chassis there is an objectionable noise, or slap, when the footbrake is released. He did not consider it was necessary to hold up delivery of chassis because of this noise, which he states is felt right throughout the chassis, but he thought it was a matter which ought to be cured in the very near future. He suggested that possibly we could fix some material that would cushion without making a noise on the various stops in connection with the brakes. Can Mr.Hives or Mr.Bailey suggest any means of curing this matter, or is it a matter that should be put up for the consideration of Mr.Royce? Wh. | ||
