The amount of course would be again reduced the moment the automatic advance comes into play.

It is suggested that to overcome the necessity for the magnetospark to jump, an extra .100" should be given to the leading corner of the rotor blade.

This would not appear to introduce any complication in other respects. Experimentally we are having three rotor blades made up with as much as .200" extra in the first instance, which can be cut away as desired, and the point at which the magneto spark leaves the blade will be determined for the worst condition. At the same time it will be observed whether any other deleterious effect, which has been overlooked in consideration of the matter, has been introduced.
