Secret (5940 cc. Mr. c. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} BYS/H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} 30. 1. 25. FOUR WHEEL BRAKES, 20 HP. CHASSIS, U.S.A. In view of the extreme urgency of the four wheel brakes from Sales' point of view, it would appear necessary for you to extend the sanction which you have given in regard to ordering material in parallel with experimental work. At present our instructions to go in parallel with experimental work are limited to the following:- 1. Four speed box complete. 2. Front axle itself with pivot details, but no subsidiary parts. It is certainly necessary, in order to bring the four wheel brakes on at anything like the time you require them, that we order all the four wheel brake material in parallel with the experimental work. I would suggest 100 sets should be ordered, which to my mind is a reasonable proposal. BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} Roy{Sir Henry Royce} | ||
