PY. FROM DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} Copy to PJ. HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} SECRET. SS.{S. Smith} FRONT JELLYING. X7380 X7005 Herewith we send N. scheme 2793., a rough scheme of a suggested position for a friction held cross member in the SS.{S. Smith} frame, which we have suggested to R.{Sir Henry Royce} In view however of the favourable reports from the strip rubber engine suspension it is probable that this experiment will not be needed, but as we have prepared the rough scheme we thought it as well to send it on. It has the advantage, if it would do the job, that it is entirely independent of the engine, which can have any sort of flexibility desired. DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} | ||
