(sheet 3) (18) Rear spring bolt fouling rear bumper bracket on rear crossmember. Design instruction will correct this fault. (19) Petrol Tank Support Straps. It is intended that the material for these should be mild steel. (20) Taper Bolts on rear brake intermediate lever brackets N.Sch.4852. It is agreed that the two 1/4" taper bolts should be replaced by standard parallel bolts. Will BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} kindly have details altered. (21) Combined rear body bracket and step iron. - fouling of step iron bolt with spring bracket. The two long bolts and distance pieces together with the retaining piece for the distance pieces are to be dispensed with - in their place four short bolts should be used, the nuts being on the outside of the step iron. Design instruction to BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} will cover this modification. This alteration may make the removal of the step iron more difficult when the body is in position. How serious this is should be ascertained during the mounting of the first body. (22) Rear brake intermediate levers H.Sch.4852. The felt washers for excluding water and dirt from the Oilite bushes are not satisfactory as at present arranged. Design mod. is required and will be issued. E/L.id. | ||
