I have been asked by Mr. Constantine on behalf of General Motors, whether we can give them any information regarding the anticipation by us of the method of operating front wheel brakes shown in the accompanying blue print, which is that of the Oldsmobile Car. The main issue is the horizontally swinging lever on vertical axis with ball end contacting with cam actuating lever approximately on centre line of king pin. The possible second issue is the method of adjustment of cam actuating lever on cam spindle, of which a sample is also enclosed.

This merely follows up Captain Irvin's telephone enquiry of yesterday to make certain there is no misunderstanding.

I have undertaken to help Messrs. General Motors in this matter if we can, as I am sure we shall reap immense benefit from information which they may be able to give us on other matters if we remain on good terms.

Please return drawing and piece with your reply which, if possible, let me have by return.

CWB.
