SPARE WHEEL CARRIER FOR 7" SECTION TYRES.

We have looked into this question and it appears that it will be necessary to move the top fittings on the petrol tank forward about .250". The tube carrying the bracket for the spare wheel carrier will follow this.
It appears to be also necessary to remove .250 off the back of the tank. This could be done by flattening the curve to minimize the loss of capacity.
As regards the rear-most wheel in the double carrier, all that seems to be necessary is to extend the hub until the tyre is clear of the rear cross-member.
In addition to the above, on account of the increased diameter of the wheel it will be necessary to raise the centre as previously suggested. If By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} will kindly set this out and shew us the result, we believe the job could be settled immediately.
Movement of the cross-member also includes using studs instead of the present bolts through the tube.
