Sparking, rusting, and testing of iridio-platinum distributor points.

-2- Contd. at break, as sparking has sometimes been seen between the blade and the roller in contact with it. It would be interesting therefore to interpose a small piece of insulation here, and see how it affects the rusting. There is no sign of failure of the welding in the points which have been run. Four of these sets of iridio-platinum points were received. One set was sent to Mr. Royce 14.6.21 and two have now been run as above. It is proposed to run the remaining set in a normally ventilated distributor, in order to give it a proper chance. F.J.A.
