Straight 8 cyl. engine. Bore 3.250". Stroke 4.50"
Cubic capacity 298.64 - or 4893.8 cc.
Horse power (R.A.C.rating) = 33.8.
(Comp. ratio not yet determined).

Chassis.
Wheelbase = 131".
Track - Front 59" - Rear 58".
Overall length 189.25".

Three speed gearbox and reverse - giving the following:-

Gear ratios.
Top. 4.75 : 1
2nd. 7.96 : 1 These ratios are from
1st. 15.29 : 1 engine to road wheels.
Reverse 18.02 : 1

Weight of complete car filled up with water, oil petrol etc. tools and spares, two spare wheels and tyres carried on the front wings.

ENGINE.
The engine is a vertical straight-8 cyl. unit, with unit construction clutch and gearbox. The 8 cyl. bores are in one cast iron casting with the top half of the crankcase, giving extremely rigid though heavy w construction. contd :-
