Origin: To prevent oil leaking from rear bearing into clutch pit. Report of Experimental Test: This was fitted to 1-B-IV and ran 10,000 miles in France. It was in good condition when examined. The loss of oil from the bearing has been appreciably less than with previous designs. Right Box: X No. 217. Drawing No. LeC. 3568.
