Test results for an Autovac suction pump detailing petrol delivery rates with different valve configurations.

AUTOVAC TESTS USING ROLLS-ROYCE SUCTION PUMP
RUNNING AT 740 R.P.M.

Length of suction pipe. 66" (5/16" dia. 1/4" bore).

1st Test.
Rolls type of Autovac, which is fitted with Drop Valve AV.226 as standard. The only alteration was to increase the diameter of the Air Valve seating from .116" to .125".
Delivery 1/2 gallon in 2 mins. 55 secs. = 10.28 g.p.h.

2nd Test.
Autovac as above with .125" air hole, the only alteration being Wire type Drop Valve AV.357 used in place of Drop Valve AV.226.
Delivery 1/2 gallon in 2 mins. 20 secs. = 12.8 g.p.h.
