SECRET. "Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}" DERBY. Paris. HK{Col. T. Harker - Sales}13/Dn.2.2.25. Re: 98-NK. Your Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}1/LG.31.1.25 to hand this morning requesting me to have the above car registered in the name of : Mr Claude Johnson, 14, Conduit Street, London, instead of in Mr Lidsey's name, and confirm my wire reading :- " HIVES YOUR HSONE LG OF THIRTYFIRST JANUARY " IMPOSSIBLE CHANGE MAME APPLICATION ALREADY " MADE " from which you will have understood that it is now too late to act upon your instructions, as the application for the Touring Acquit in Mr Lidsey's name has already been made to the Customs' Authorities, and as you can well understand, it is impossible to change the name. Under the circumstances I think this is just as well, and much preferable to the car coming over in the name of "CJ", who is almost as well known over here as in England. Your memo under reply has crossed my HK{Col. T. Harker - Sales}11/Dn/AW. 31.1.25, from which you will note, among other things, that it will be necessary for Mr Lidsey to come to Paris a day or two before the car arrives at Boulogne, so as to sign the application form and obtain the Grey Card. Kindly let me know if everything is now in order. HK.{Col. T. Harker - Sales} | ||
