X1166 Exptl. Dept. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls}12/KW. 6th July, 1936. The Automotive Products Co.Ltd., Tachbrook Road, Leamington Spa. For the attention of Mr. Van Vestraut Dear Sirs, Re Lockheed Jacks. We thank you for your two letters dated June 30th and July 2nd. With regard to the filter in the replenishing tank, we did not request this to be incorporated, but think it can do no harm and might possibly do some good. We therefore leave it to you whether the replenishing tank has the filter or not. With regard to the question of the piping to be fitted to our car with your jacks, we expect that the initial testing will have to be carried out with the hand pump we use at present. In this case it will obviously be simpler if we can adapt the existing piping to suit. When we receive your pump and can jack each corner independently, we agree that it will be best if your engineer comes over to see after the installation of the necessary piping. Until such time as we have your hand pump we shall not pipe each jack independently. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LTD. | ||
