21st August, 1941.

The Pressed Steel Co. Ltd.,
Cowley,
OXFORD.

For the attention of Mr. W.C. Maton.

Dear Sirs,

We are endeavouring to formulate standards for Clinch-on Nuts and Cage Nuts, as applied to all steel construction on body work.

From experience, I believe your standard fittings to be better than most, and would like to incorporate in our own details the same range of nuts etc., that you would use, should you ultimately do presswork for us.

Would you therefore, please be good enough to furnish us with prints showing your complete range of :-

1. Clinch-on Nuts from 2 BA upwards.

2. Square Nuts from 2 BA upwards.

3. Nut Retainers (a) for Stationary Nuts and (b) for Adjustable Nuts.
In both cases for all sizes of nuts.

We thank you in anticipation of your kind attention.

Yours faithfully,
FOR ROLLS-ROYCE, LTD.,
