STAMP: RECEIVED Dear Sirs, Your favour of 29th instant is before us, and we take it you are referring to our OVERLOAD GAUGES of which many thousands have been used during the war on oil fuel & water services in connection with I.C. engines. We enclose the only leaflet we have remaining dealing with these, they are all made by Mr. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} Bourdon (inventor of the Bourdon Gauge) in Paris, and therefore if required for pleasure cars there is 33 1/3 duty to pay & we cannot offer them at prices comparable with gauges made here, though in most instances the latter are non-overload. If you have had trouble with your present type & consider that it would be worth your while to pay more for a gauge that will last as long as the engine, and give no trouble during that time, we shall be only too pleased to quote you. | ||
