EXPERIMENTAL

We have not as yet produced a Winding Diagram but when we say that it is of the 4 pole single series type and connected retrogressively in the manner shewn below, this will enable you to connect up to the Commutator.

In order to decrease the overhang length there would be no objection to staggering the End Winding and Connections as done on the standard S.S. Motor Armature, but we doubt whether this is practicable as it would appear to complicate the forming of the Coils and of course it is always desirable to have a symmetrically wound Armature which would not be so if the Coils were staggered.

In order that we may go ahead with the mechanical details as soon as possible, E.R. particularly wishes to see this Armature before despatching to West WitteringHenry Royce's home town.
