To B.J. from Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} S E C R E T. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}5/Ld14.1.25. EAC. 'V' SERIES. 44-PK. This car fitted with a Barker Saloon Body is an exact model of a 'V' series except for the following items :- 1. Exhaust system throughout. There is an entirely new exhaust system to be fitted. 2. Cutout and operating lever will be of a new design. 3. Undershields both for engine and gearbox. 4. Oil Pump and relief valve has to be modified. 5. The controls at the bottom of the steering column at present foul.. These are being modified. 6. The control to the valve in the exhaust pipe is being modified. 7. The fixing of the thermometer in the cylinder head is being modified. 8. Details of the wiring are being modified. 9. The clutch on this car is one which requires the heavy pedal pressure. This is also being modified. items The special/on this car on which we should like Sales critics views, are as follows :- 1. Arrangement of ignition switch. 2. Arrangement of operation of shutters on radiator. We are not very impressed with the controls for the shutters. We think the shutter control should be made more obvious. At the present time, on the 20 HP. we know that the hand control for the shutters is overlooked. 3. Instrument board. The arrangement of the instruments on the instrument board are standard except that it is proposed to place the thermometer above the oil gauge and ammeter.
