Dear Mr. Aspin,

Thank you for your letter of June 29th.

Though we have made several attempts to determine the orifice coefficient of a valve and port by means of air flows, we have never been very successful in converting these results to increased power out-put.

In other words, the only comparison is to run a power curve. We attach comparisons of the best valve opening you have been able to produce and the one we are at present using is attached.
