In order to complete the 15 chassis, it was agreed to release material for outstanding sections to the latest experimental specification.

(2) PISTON. 25 H.P. Piston and Gudgeon Pin to be superseded by the strengthened type with longer skirt and Gudgeon Pin with Thrust Pads to LeC.3447 and LeC.3456. D.O. refer back to old details for fit of thrust pads in the gudgeon pin.

(3) CYLINDER HEAD. Compression ratio 6.35 to 1. Machine around valve guides suitable for fitting double valve springs if required to LeC.3297. D.O. give plus and minus limits for the combustion chamber capacity. This volume will be given by the Experimental Dept. Water

(4) VALVES & FITTINGS. Valves, valve springs, spring washers, wedges etc. to remain as instructed for 115 sets.

(5) INDUCTION HOT SPOT HEATING. 15 sets only for Exhaust Heating to the present production specification should be released, as it is proposed to change over from exhaust to Water Heating. The Induction Pipes for these 15 sets should be to E.59292 & 3, modified to EX.10401.
