re- Car Radio.

Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} and I went out to-day in Mr.Sclater Booth's car and tried the set about which he wrote us at some length, and whose letter I showed to you when I was last in Derby.

It certainly seems to give very good results in and around London, particularly as Mr.Sclater Booth assures us that no matter what part of the Country he is in he always gets a good reception, although it varies in quality in certain localities.

As I had a radio on my previous car and got a certain amount of experience with it which was not altogether satisfactory, it occurs to me that I might try another set now of the type you prefer, namely, the Philco dual wave set such as you have fitted to 21-G-IV together with the dipolar aerial system. I should propose to try it without suppressors on the plugs this time, if you agree, and take any other steps you recommend to overcome interference by reason of this omission.

Can you please give me your recommendations regarding the type of set and installation, that I could pass on to Philco if I decided it might be useful to now get some further experience on sets that have undoubtedly been improved since the one I had before, the Philco No.12.

I have, of course, your recommendations which accompanied the drawing D.75339, and should adhere to these so far as the installation is concerned, except for any modifications that you may by now see fit to recommend.

Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} was very pleased with the set on Mr.Sclater Booth's car, and is proposing to have his own set modified to any extent that is possible in an endeavour to improve its effectiveness and to reduce as much as possible the effect of outside interference.
