Clutch. Leather cone - clutch sticks in - slips badly, no jaggers, easy to change gears.

Brakes. Foot brake - band lined with Ferodo - situated rear of gear box - jaggers very badly when pulling up hard.
Hand brake - rear wheels - very smooth in action - good breaking action.

Distance.
Distance to pull up with clutch out, brakes hard on.

Vacuum in Induction Pipe 15/16" mercury. at 1000 r.p.m. full throttle

Springing. No shock absorbers - semi elliptic springs, rear and front. Front springs require damping - too bouncy. Length 35.5 ins. centre 1 3/4" cambre - 8 leaves - rolled eye.
Rear springing very fair - would be improved by damping - over-slung - torque taken by springs. 47" centre 2.25" cambre - 11 leaves - rolled eye.

Ignition. Timing
M.L. Magneto only.
Full retard 10° P.T.D.C.
Full advance 10° B.T.D.C.
order of firing 1, 2, 4, 3.
