To Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} from Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}3/KW.30.12.35. Big Bore Bentley & 6-B-IV. Replying to Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}6/E.18.12.35, referring to Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}4/KW.14.12.35. The parts mentioned on page 2 which will go into production are as follows :- 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 & 6; also item 10 on page 3. In the case of 6, the clutch is a 10" Borg and Beck, but it is unventilated. Items 1 and 3 were not fitted to B-56-BN.{W.O. Bentley / Mr Barrington} However, we have done over 100 hours on the bench with item 1, with entirely satisfactory results. Item 3, as we point out, is the limiting feature at present. We have had 50 hours successful running on the big ends. We have not yet had a satisfactory 50 hour run on the mains.
