We send herewith drawing LeC. 2187. shewing a 22 to 1 overall reduction ratio in place of the 30 to 1 as previously used between the starting motor and engine. Other slight modifications to the drive are also incorporated on this drawing. In a day or so we shall be sending a modification to the solenoid operating the pinion so as to make it conform to the requirements of the switch recently sent for this job. We should be glad if BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} will forward a print to R.{Sir Henry Royce}, the weather conditions preventing us from so doing at this end. AJS. | ||
