25̶0̶ 1263 Experimental Dept. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/JBD.{John B. Dixon - Fuel Systems}9/JH. 31st December, 1936, Messrs. George Angus & Co.Ltd., 7, Bury Street, St.{Capt. P. R. Strong} Mary's Axe, London.E.C.3. For the attention of Mr. Beck. Dear Sirs, We thank you for your sample of solid thin Gaco sheet. We find however, that there is a variation in thickness from .026" to .039" in the small sample supplied and hope that the sample diaphragm you promised to supply us will be more uniform. We enclose the two diaphragms as examples of what we require both as regards size and the position of the holes. At present two thicknesses of fabric are used with a total thickness of .025" and as presumably this is the thinnest sheet you make we will try using only one disc. We shall also be very pleased to try the Gaco fabric when this is available. Yours Faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LTD. | ||
