Dynamo performance, sparking issues, and proposals for a new dynamo for standardisation.

In spite of the larger permissible output, we are confident that sparking at the Rushes will be less, and commutation generally better, than with the standard machine. Hence we feel that the new machine will be more reliable in addition to being better as regards cutting-in and output.

We are not satisfied, however, that sparking has been reduced to a minimum, and it is suggested that the next step should be in the direction of, reducing the armature turns per coil, or, laminated poles.

This type of dynamo is proposed for SpectreCodename for Phantom III production and we are trying a dynamo out on the Bentley chassis for standardisation.
