1129 EXPERIMENTAL DEPARTMENT. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Ed.{J. L. Edwards}8/JH. 30th. January, 1939. The Hoffman Manufacturing Co.Ltd., Chelmsford, ESSEX. Dear Sirs, With reference to my 'phone call of the 27th. and your wire of todays date, I am afraid that unless a complete set of bearings can be supplied, there is no object in risking the job. I have not as yet received your letter, but presumably the bearings can be supplied later on, and we should be glad if you would supply us with a full set as soon as possible. The bearings required were - 3 inner races, cage and rollers to RMS.15. 3 outer races to L.506. 1 complete ball bearing to MS.14. An official order is being passed through our order office and will follow later. In the event of its not being possible to supply the complete set, will you please forward the single L.506 bearing and the MS.14. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LTD. | ||
