Re: Continental 'New PhantomCodename for PHANTOM I'.

You will doubtless have received, or shortly should receive, information that the above is to be the new name for the Sports car.

You will have received copy of Ev{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}'s memo of the 6th relative to the body. In speaking to Mr. Carpenter on the telephone this afternoon, he said that unless they received the items referred to by first thing tomorrow morning, it would not be possible to have the body ready on Friday, and provided they received them without delay, the body should be ready on Monday.

I should like to settle with you tomorrow the best means of transporting the dummy chassis and body to Derby. The simplest way would seem to be to send it on a lorry the whole way. Have you a suitable lorry at Derby you could send for it?

We have got to prepare a pamphlet about this car and for this purpose, require some illustrations. My experience in the past of photographing dummies for this purpose, has not been very successful. As soon as you have got this body, transferred it to its correct chassis, lamps fitted up and the car generally complete, I should be glad if you would arrange to have photograph taken of the car both with the hood down and the hood up. The photograph should be taken slightly three-quarter view and not broadside on. I will bring a photograph of another car with me tomorrow illustrating the point I mean.

I should like the car to be without background, which, as you doubtless know, can easily be attained by photographing the car with a sheet held behind it and kept on the move whilst the photograph is taken.
