We shall be glad if you could settle the following points in connection with the Clan Foundry when you come up on Sunday:

1. Preventing unauthorised ingress to the premises.
We have discussed verbally with you the provision of a watchman's hut. The wiring round the Derby side of the building and the supply of a suitable bottom gate has also been discussed. This matter is now becoming urgent as, with the amount of material we now have at the Clan we must keep unauthorised people out.

2. Yard.
We shall be glad if you could get the yard tarred as soon as possible.

3. Runway, in the erecting shop.
We observe that the drawing for this runway shows a separate inner entrance to the shop which takes up a good deal of room. As there are several existing girders to which the runway could be attached, we shall be glad if you could give the matter further consideration.

4. Canteen.
We have spoken to you about this.
We have now taken over the whole of the Kestrel programme. To deal with this, we shall have at least 150 people working at the Clan, 100 of which will require meals.

5. Cycle Shed.
We should like to discuss this with you again as we shall now have to cater for 50 or more cycles.

6. Canteen refuse.
The disposal of rubbish is causing us some concern, and the matter will be aggravated when the number of people having meals is trebled. We require some form of incinerator to get rid of rubbish.

7. Blackout.
We shall almost certainly have to run a small night shift, and should like to discuss with you the black out provision.
