DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} To BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} from Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/TMW. ["To BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer}" is struck through] X8490 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/TMW4/LG31.12.20. RE. MASCOT AND RADIATOR CAP. With reference to the above, please find attached note from Sales Dept. ref: 5289, in which they state that the Mascot comes unscrewed from the stud. We find that sweating has always taken place at this point but suggest that a stronger job is necessary and an allowance ought to be made for people unscrewing the Radiator Cap with the Mascot ^if it tightened up. We think there should be a longer stud provided for, which should be pinned and sweated. [Handwritten note at bottom left] Mr Day, we think you should deal with this, & should be glad to receive your instructions. TP Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/TMW. Legle [Signature] | ||
