Dear Robotham,

I am sorry I have been so long in further taking up with you the question of a visit to Derby in order to try out the synchro-mesh gearbox.

Unfortunately this time of the year is very busy, but I have managed to clear a day on which I can come up to Derby for the purpose of this test.

I am suggesting that I come up to the Works at about half-past-ten to eleven on Friday morning of this week, the 21st instant, should you find this convenient. If not, will you please be good enough to let me know by return.

Yours faithfully,

V.W. Pilkington

(V.W. Pilkington).
