B.J. from Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} X4086 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}4/LG22.6.22. RE. GOSHAWK FOR AMATEUR TEST. X4086 K 4219 We assumed that when CJ. took away 7-Goshawk-11, that that car would continue to be run by Amateur Drivers. CJ. agreed on the telephone when he was at Derby last Friday that he would arrange for the car to be run as much as possible by Amateur Drivers, but in the case of not being able to keep the car running, we should leave one of the Goshawk men with the car so that he would be able to run it when it was not being used by the Amateurs. 7-Goshawk-11 is garaged just outside Paris. The Mechanic left in the charge of the car, is T. Maddocks. He is always in touch with our Paris Dept, and they will know where the car is. We certainly wish 7-Goshawk-11 to be kept running and although there are a number of parts on it which are out-of-date, the running features of the car are the same as will be used on production. It is impossible for us to give any definite date as to when the experimental Goshawk cars will be brought up-to-date so as to represent a model of the production cars. The very first car we can fit up, we wish to send again into the mountains to see whether we have overcome the complaints of boiling. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
