STANDARDISATION SHEETS. Y3066 7444
At the present time, the costs of new parts given on the standardisation sheets are not taken seriously by most of the technical officials. R.{Sir Henry Royce} has frequently complained that the costs given are ridiculous and as in a number of cases they have proved to be wrong, he now takes very little notice of any of the figures.
It would appear that these costs are given without the approval of the Works.
We recommend in future that costs given on the standardisation sheets should be approved by Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager}
We believe the trouble at present is that when the office obtain the costs, they have not all the information. Two bad cases which have occurred recently are :-
(1) Cost of bonnet louvres.
(2) " " rear spare wheel carrier.
