300a. To GWH{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux}/IMW.{Ivan M. Waller - Head of Chateauroux} from Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Std. c. to Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/GWH.{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux} Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Std.4/AP.12.3.37. We understand that you have recently stripped the water pump of 35-EX., after completing 10,000 miles. Will you please let us know by return if possible, whether the filter gauze on the pump inlet snout had deteriorated or given any trouble in any way, also whether it appeared to have stopped any solder or similar debris from entering the pump - if satisfactory we propose to standardise this feature immediately. We should also like to hear from you as to whether the thermometer with flexible capillary has been satisfactory up to this mileage. As regards the file which you said you were sending to Levallois for me to bring back to the Works, - this had not turned up by the time I left Paris so you had better arrange to return it direct to Derby. We are proposing to send out a new fan and modified thermostat for 3.B.1V. car - these should be fitted to the car in Paris before it completes 15,000 miles - we will send appropriate instructions to Sr. Will you please give the enclosed letter to Rennel for me. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Std. PS. We understand that you have modified the engine side guards on 35-EX. car - can you tell us what to standardise yet? | ||
