R.R. 300 (6a) (XX. 847. 29.5.13) E.P. 4342. X2. 12487 ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. INSTRUCTIONS. To: Mr Royce Order No. Customer's No. Re: Brake Drums for Double Rear Brake fitted to wire wheels. Herewith please receive Brake drums - G2784 & G2988 The experimental department tested G2784. I found it was too light making the actuation very springy. The foot pedal could be pushed down considerably after brakes were fully applied, due to spring of drum. I therefore as job was urgent issued G2988 which is stiffened up & has an allowance for wear. These were satisfactory, I believe Mr Haldenby has reported on them. Signed: RMMD This Sheet must be filed on completion of the work. RY | ||
