Re: Brake Drums for Double Rear Brake fitted to wire wheels.
Herewith please receive Brake drums - G2784 & G2988
The experimental department tested G2784. I found it was too light making the actuation very springy. The foot pedal could be pushed down considerably after brakes were fully applied, due to spring of drum.
I therefore as job was urgent issued G2988 which is stiffened up & has an allowance for wear. These were satisfactory, I believe Mr Haldenby has reported on them.
