| COPY The Bristol Aeroplane Co.Ltd., Filton House, Bristol. 2nd June 1934. Messrs.Bentley Motors (1931) Ltd., 16, Conduit Street, London, W.1. Dear Sirs, Many thanks for your two letters of the 31st May reference ASy{Len Astley - Orders}42/BE and Hn{F. C. Honeyman - Retail orders}13/I, regarding my car. As you know, I took delivery yesterday as arranged, and got back all safe to Bristol. As your Mr.Dershow has undoubtedly reported to you, we both noticed a click in the back axle when about 250 yards from your Conduit St.{Capt. P. R. Strong} Showrooms. We stopped and tried tightening up the wheels, but traced it to what we think was the bevel pinion. It is quite definite every time you take up the drive. Before I had driven the car at all fast, in fact before I got on to the Great West Road, a crack about 3" appeared on the windscreen. I have done 138 miles on 10 1/2 gallons of petrol. What is your opinion about this consumption? Yours faithfully, (Sd) A.H.R.Fedden | ||
