SYSTEMS Xc X.3560 We have had Mr. Joseph Bijur, President of the Bijur Motor Appliance Company, Hoboken, N.J. here yesterday (Monday) afternoon and last Friday afternoon. His purpose was to lay before us electric starter schemes for both aero and car engines, but we have also had with him an amount of discussion with reference to generators and methods of control. He brought with him photographs, blue prints and data relating to electric starters, having been advised by our people in America that they were hoping for our views on apparatus of Bijur make. Mr. Bijur brought along with him two models of starter motor pinion engagement gear, of which he explained to us the action in detail with the aid of blue prints. These two models are in Mr. Hives' possession and will be brought by him for Mr. Royce's inspection, as there appear to be points about this particular design of gear which are worth our consideration. We found Mr. Bijur to be particularly well informed on the subjects with which he had to deal and we should judge from the reasonable and definite manner in which Contd. | ||
