To EJJ. c.c. do Hy.{Tom Haldenby - Plant Engineer} X3269 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}23/KW.14.1.35. Heating for Shardlow Garage. We have carried out some tests on the two small oil stoves supplied for heating the Experimental Garage at Shardlow, and find that they are quite inadequate for keeping the occupants warm under Winter conditions. Furthermore, we are apprehensive that they are likely to be knocked over. We should be glad if you would look into an alternative method of heating.
