Dear Sirs,

You will recollect that on July 17th. we wrote to you and asked for a small cased 40/50 speedometer to be converted to a 20 HP. ratio for an 11/50 axle with tyres of 92+" circumference.

The mileage recorder read 3% fast on this instrument when we put it on a 20 HP. car owing to the fact that you could not get the gear ratio exactly what we wanted.

We require another speedometer exactly the same as this one, and should be obliged if you could put it in hand immediately.

In order that you may trace the other speedometer it is referred to in our letter reference HS {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} /Rm {William Robotham - Chief Engineer} 5/LG of the 17th.July. Our official order will follow.

Yours faithfully,
