COPY. 20.2.18. Le4202. EP.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} Martinsydes. ---------- As arranged, I visited these people and find that they have fitted 3 Falcon 3 into the original machine in place of the experimental engine which has trouble with the reduction gear. They are at present trying various types of props - the engine appears to be running well. There were some Lodge K.R.3 plugs in which shewed signs of the central electrode " barnacling " up, also the points appeared to lie over after a time. K.L.G. F.52 were fitted and the engine was quite O.K. With the K.R.3 the engine was 40 r.p.m down. O.K. with K.L.G. (Sgd) J.L.E, | ||
