21st. September 1938.

Messrs. Ferodo Ltd.,
CHAPEL-EN-LE-FRITH.

For the attention of Mr.Longley.

Dear Sirs,

As discussed over the telephone with Mr.Holmes, we shall very shortly require a fan belt to our drawing EB.4202 (print attached). This belt is identical in section with our Phantom III belt (print E.89343) but is greater in circumference.

Will you please put in hand immediately a single cavity mould for the production of this belt experimentally, as we shall require three of these belts as soon as you can let us have them. Our official order for the three belts, and also for the mould will follow immediately. - Mr.Holmes gave us an approximate figure of 30/-d.{John DeLooze - Company Secretary} to £2 as the mould charges.

We thank you for the "Ferobestos" pieces which you sent us yesterday and which we have received. We should like to know whether any difficulty would be experienced in supplying these on a production basis, and in particular would like a quotation for supplying pieces EXS.1008 and EXS.1009 in quantities of 200 each.

As soon as we receive the Goodyear belts for test we will forward them to you.

Yours faithfully,

for ROLLS-ROYCE LTD.
