To RHC{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer}/SB.{Mr Bull/Mr Bannister} from Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/GWH.{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux} c. By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} c. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} c. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/GWH.{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux}2/N.13.4.38. Hub Serrations - Bentley. With reference to your memo RHC{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer}/SB.{Mr Bull/Mr Bannister}1/MC.8.4.38, the question of having to fit an over-size broached hub with brake drum complete, brings this into another unnecessary cost. The fitting of a new brake drum would mean that the brake straps would have to be re-adjusted and re-bedded. We do not wish to have to touch the brakes. I have discussed this with RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} and a suggestion of a drawbroach was thought to be a possible solution. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/GWH.{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux} | ||
