X453P To Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from BJ. BJ17/H23.11.22. Goshawk Weights. With reference to Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}4/LG20.11.22, in DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/Ev{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}4/M5.10.22 addressed to By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer}, a copy of which was sent to you, certain detailed weights were quoted. Please let me know as soon as possible whether the weights shown therein all hold good, with the exception that the 2204 lbs. as the weight of the chassis, should be altered to 2378 lbs. - that is to say, that the chassis weights 174 lbs. more than is shown in DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}'s memo. Does the weight of the chassis include the wing irons, which I understand will be supplied by W? In weighing 7-G-II in France, what was the number and total weight of the passengers, what was the weight of the body, and what was the weight of the spares and accessories? B.J. | ||
