To HPS.{Horace Percy Smith - Experimental Factory Mgr} from Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Std. 300B Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Std.2/AP.8.7.37 We send you herewith Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}410/411 schemes for a radiator steam valve for the Continental Ph.III. radiator. The valves we have tried so far have not been satisfactory- the only valve which could be made really steam tight was that with the rubber seatings, and so far we have not found a rubber seating which stands up in service. The above scheme utilises a ball valve - we should like you to detail the necessary parts and make them as soonas possible. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Std. | ||
