X5720 To B.J. from Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} S E C R E T. I N D I A.{Mr Adams} Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}2/LG15.5.25. X5940 Replying to your BJ5/H9.5.25. We realise the necessity of keeping secret the fact that we are fitting 4-wheel brakes to the 20 HP. The precautions being taken in this matter are the same as were taken in connection with the E.A.C. On the car you tried in London we had fitted guards to prevent the front brakes being obvious. We are trying to improve upon those fitted to that car. We have got, however, to avoid making it palpable that we are trying to hide something or else it will only make people more curious. After all, whatever precautions are taken, the effectiveness of the camouflage depends on the common sense of the man in charge of the car. We can assure you that we are doing our best in this matter. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
