Messrs. British Goodrich Ltd.,
Burton-on-Trent.

Dear Sirs,

Fan Belt for Phantom III Car.

We are anxious to use a larger and more powerful fan running at higher speeds than at present on our Phantom III car. We have attempted to drive this with our standard belt, which is made by yourselves, to our Piece No. EB.221, and have found that the belt is quite inadequate for this job; i.e., it stretches, frays and slips.

We should very much like your recommendations as to a suitable size of belt or numberof belts to use, and are enclosing on attached sheet particulars of running conditions of belt.

An early reply would be greatly appreciated.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED.
